Copper Dragons Spawn Update - Day 17The fry are all doing fine and as stated before this numerous spawn is still retaining the numbers of its members, filling up every corner of the tank. No premature (or a very little insignificant number which is unnoticable) deaths have taken place. Many fry are now sporting tiny fins (anal as well as dorsal) and all fry have a clear visible caudal fin developed. The variance between light and dark bodied fry is now even more distinct as shown in the photos that follow.... Here are some photos of the fry at Day 17 Little Copper Bettas Day Out at Katapang Hill

He he indeed wilier, they gather there as if in a congregation of some sort. I think that the Katapang area must offer some kind of safety for them.

Nice update Tinkerbell. The difference between the dark bodied plakat fry in the second picture and the light bodied one in the last picture is now very evident.quote:

Does this mean that there are still around a hundred of them in the breeding tank? gabs

Yes gabs, obviously 100 is a near assumption to the visible spread of fry which I am able to see in the tank everyday. This means that there could be more or even less, however my suspecting and optimistic braincells are telling me that there is more than that. I am hopefuly to at least achieving one fine dragon specimen from both dark and lightbodied, since not all will make it to HMPK's and for sure not all will make it to dragons. That is nature. Parents being both dragons is already a big big bonus...and theoretically that is the way it should go...dragons should amass amid the developing fry. Achieving HMPK rather than PK is already one big deal so I will be happy if there will be sprouting Dragon HMPK's. Good luck to the little ones :)
