The following is a video of the pair while spawning. Apologies for the video quality but did not want to disturb the pair. On a closer look at the video one can see the female being cradled, the eggs falling, male picking them up and the female helping afterwards.
Thanks to gabs for editing and hosting this video for me.
'The dragon plakat has an armour-like body with perfection in scales which seem to be made of metal, shining, all aligned and thicker than in a normal plakat. It is normal that their bodies often appear silvery in colour cause of the extraordinary amount of metallic iridiscence in their scaling. The whole appearance of a dragon is almost beautifully menacing, strong and bold with a compact shiny armour. Dragons are quite new in the plakat breeding world and are the craze right now.'
Must say that my ultimate wish is a particular one. They are called Mustard Gas, and it's a cross between a blue and a yellow genotype. They are beautiful. A full red or royal blue dragon would be gorgeous too, still I adore the ones I have. They live up to their species fame, that of being fighters. It's really evident in their character although I am totally not interested in having the fish fight. One, though, can appreciate their strength and feistiness.
Yes vera, but not when they are still very little. From 16 weeks onwards fry need to be seperated, scrutinised for abnormalities and imperfections and the males definately jarred. There is no strict timeline when to do this, so the 16 weeks is approximative, however, a close lookout for any bad goings on should be kept as fry which is more developed than others could start chasing the weaklings as food. Also, males should be kept on close supervision so as to immediately witness any territorial behaviour, upon which males should be immediately jarred. Females can be kept in a community tank as they do not fight between themselves, other than the very rary occurence of a female with a male's character. Cases like this have been recorded, to the extent of the female biting and chasing the male herself upon pairing.

I have seen a couple of ketapang leaves in Tink's spawning tank. I have never tried boiling the leaves. It think that would be even safer as boiling the leaves would kill any unwanted guests hosted on the leaves that might try to make their way in the tank.
I am actually using two ketapang leaves directly submerged in the water. Never tried boiling them up to now, but as gabs said, I think it would be a more ideal way to prevent anything unwanted going directly in the tank. Guess I should try that method!
Just went to check on the eggs, nest and the proud father of this spawn and was very happy to see most of the eggs hatched. The fry are still almost unrecognisable since the yolk sac is still really big. Only a teeny weeny transparent tail can be seen. The father is going crazy picking up all the falling fry and putting them back in the nest. Up to now, he has been a very good father indeed!
The fry are all still doing super great. Active darting around the bubble nest with the father letting them be free more and more as time passes by. It won't take long until they are free swimming, even though they are still vertically clinging to the nest, they already are starting to take a slightly horizontal state.
