Here's an update about my shrimps. The female is again carrying eggs. while I could take some photos of the small ones too. Their colour is very nice. The first photo is of the female and the other two of the young ones which you can compare to the sixe of the gravel and Vallisneria roots.

I will update bro. Shrimp population is on the incease. I'm just allowing some time for the youngsters to sexually mature then I'll start selectively breeding the shrimp again. The somehow diverse gene pool of the present batch of shrimp should help in starting this selective breeding project. Selective breeding might leed to inbreeding but I'll make sure to keep enhancing the gene pool periodically. Bee shrimp will keep being present even for this project. This will supposedly lead to some high grade Bees too. I'm now better equipped to cater for the hot summer season. In my previous thread I ended up with around 200 shrimp starting from just 8 low grade shrimp. This success in breeding the shrimp was associated with the quilty of water that the shrimp were kept in. Partail water changes, filtration, minerals added in the water colum togetehr with the palnts and the food offered all added up to help keep and breed the shrimp. Grades were increased form grade C to grade A over a short span of time by just selecting best looking specimens. Colours and patters were closely observed to decide who would make it to the selective breeding tank. No more than 8 shrimp were kept in the selective breeding tank. I thank you Ramsvella for your expert eye that helped me many times to make up my mind which shrimp should make it to the breeding project . The shrimp tanks are now equipped with a chiller and the temperature is set at a constant 24 deg C. Though lowering the temperature by 3 deg C, the cooling fans were not lowering the temperature enough for the shrimp to keep breeding and for a high sirvival rate of the younngsters. Here's the link to my previous breeding project: CLICK LINK HERE ==> Selective breeding program for CRS I have added this picture to show the progress and results that were being achieved during the first project. This time I will be starting with some high quilty shrimp. I'll post pictures of them soon bro

As promised bro Finally some pictures of the young high grade shrimplets that I have been really looking forward to see in my shrimp tank. The pictured specimens will surely motivate me in starting a selective breeding program once more. Here are the pictures.. The adults
The youngsters

An even better looking and more promising one

Hope you like gabs

You are right ryan. The youngsters must be a higher grade than S grade so I would classify them as Grade SS Hinomaru No-entry. I will be able to tell better when they get bigger and colours get more solid. gabs

Thank you all. Really appreciate. I'll keep you all updated on any developments. Tank is densely planted (really in need of some pruning) and some youngsters may still lie undiscovered. gabs
